A Close Look at Snagit from TechSmith

Snagit includes two components:

The Capture Utility

Snagit Editor

The Capture Utility

This is the Capture Utility and normally it is set to run at Startup once it it installed. Here you see that the shortcut keystroke to perform a capture is Ctrl+Shift+C but you can set it to most anything. You can also start the capture at any time by clicking the red button. Notice that besides an Image, you also can capture Text or a Video.

Below you see the drop-down menu options that are available for the All-in-One selection including Region and Window. Similar options are available for Full Screen.

Snagit Editor

This is the editor showing a sample screenshot. You can use the various Menu items and Tool Bar icons to do most anything you wish with the captured image or even a photo or other graphic you have opened. Here you see the options from the Draw tab.

This is the Image tab. Notice the Crop tool as well as some really nice Image Style effects.
